The British Government's Chevening Scholarships, which are managed by the British Council, provide opportunities to undertake postgraduate study or research in the UK for between 3 and 12 months. Scholarships are available for the academic year 2010/2011, and will be awarded through open competition. The following are priority subject areas:
- European Law
- Public, Constitutional and Human Rights Law
- International Relations (including international security)Issues relating to EU Integration
(including economics, migration, human rights and equality)
- Public Policy, Public Administration
Successful candidates will be accomplished professionals aged under 35 with no less then 3 years of relevant working experience, with proven leadership potential, who have excellent written and spoken English and at least first university degree (Diploma), and who are citizens of Belarus.

The deadline for all Chevening applications from Belarus is 15 December 2009.
Short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview at the British Embassy conducted in English, in February-March 2009. Due to large number of applications we will not be able to contact candidates whose applications were not short-listed
Candidates who are successful at the interview will be required to take an English exam (IELTS), and will be informed of the final results by 31 March 2010.
