Embassy of the United States of America to the Republic of Belarus announces a vacancy for Academic Exchanges Program Management Assistant
 
Duties include: The incumbent serves as the Manager for Professional and Academic Exchange Programs and related issues. The jobholder promotes educational exchanges within the academic and professional communities in Belarus, including within the business, cultural, media, and civil society spheres. The incumbent provides accurate, comprehensive, and unbiased information to these communities and advises of specific studies available.
Work schedule: Full-time (40 hours a week).
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences and/or humanities field is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years of prior work experience in local NGOs and/or private sector in program management and/or education-related field(s) is required.
Language Proficiency: Level IV (fluent) in English and Russian is required. Fluency in both languages includes the translation requirement as well as interpreting. Good working knowledge of Belarusian (level III) is required to be able to communicate effectively with the public in the language.
Job Knowledge: The employee must be able to effectively complete required tasks and tackle numerous program-related and administrative problems arising. It is expected from the incumbent to have a thorough knowledge of local professional and academic level of educational system as well as existing country realm.
Skills and Abilities: Incumbent must have excellent oral and written communication skills, must possess advising, coaching and mentoring techniques. Must have good organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and tackle problems triggered by different sources.

Duties include: Performs guard service to safeguard the U.S. Embassy in Minsk, its annexes, and other USG facilities.
Work schedule: Full-time.
Education: A minimum of secondary school education is required.
Experience: A minimum of two years of general work experience is required.
Language Proficiency: Level II (limited) English is required. Level III (good working knowledge) Russian is required. Level I (rudimentary) Belarusian is required.
Skills and Abilities: Must be physically capable of meeting job requirements and working under night conditions and in stressful situations. Must be able to effectively communicate with public.

Duties include: Incumbent is responsible for technical support of the Human Resources office of the Mission. Performs a wide variety of administrative duties. Ensures smooth functioning of a number of HR programs at post. Serves as the main payroll and allowances liaison between the Mission and Financial Services Center.
Work schedule: Full-time (40 hours a week).
Education: A minimum of secondary school education is required.
Experience: A minimum of two years of administrative/para-professional experience in a company and/or in an office environment is required.
Language Proficiency: Level IV (fluent) in English and Russian is required, which includes high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken language, including the ability to translate. Incumbent may be required to interpret on an occasional basis.
Job Knowledge: a successful candidate must have an understanding of the external environment as relates to the labor market, employment and compensation practices. At the full performance level, the incumbent must have a good working knowledge of internal structure and procedures as relates to different HR functions.
Skills and Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to maintain effective working relationship with employees at all levels within the Mission. Good working knowledge of major MS applications is required. Must be able to compile different types of documents. Accurate keyboard data entry and basic numerical skills are required.
