for the post of
National Professional Officer,
WHO Country Office, Belarus
The incumbent will be working for the WHO Country Office in Minsk. As part of the work of the WHO Country Office in Belarus the post will support the Ministry of Health in strengthening its capacity to identify and address challenges related to communicable diseases.
Qualifications required include:
Education: Essential - advanced university degree in medicine.
Desirable - Postgraduate training in public health, communicable diseases or related subjects.
Experience: Essential - three to five years of national experience in the implementation of relevant technical programmes including public health experience.
Desirable - Experience in the implementation of communicable diseases control programmes or tuberculosis control programme and experience in working with WHO or other international organizations.
Languages: Essential: - very good command of English and the local language.
Desirable - knowledge of other WHO Regional Office for Europe official languages, ie Russian, German or French.
