Opens a vacancy for an Extended Term Consultant for
The Sustainable Development Sector ProgramDESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
The selected candidate is expected to support the preparation and implementation of the Sustainable Development program in Belarus, specifically in energy, water, solid waste and urban sectors, participate in preparation and delivery of key analytical reports, provide technical inputs for preparation of investment projects, maintain close dialogue with the Government counterparts. The position is located in the World Bank Office in Minsk, Belarus.
Individuals with Post graduate degree at Masters’ level or higher in engineering, economics, business or other related areas. Substantial experience (minimum 5 years) in the infrastructure or energy sector is essential. The candidate is required to have a demonstrated track record in managing infrastructure projects in one of the relevant fields and to have an ability to collect, organize and analyze policy related information and to present this work in a clear and logical manner. Effective communication skills, including ability to speak articulately and to write succinctly in English and Russian are needed, along with creativity and problem-solving skills.
